Future Plans
Da’wah Bil Hal
The promotion of the concept o Da’wah Bil Hal and assisting its implementation in various countries in the region will be the major feature of RISEAP’s program for the near future. This programme, which already operates to a varying degrees in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines, will be expended in these countries and will also be spread into the Pacific islands nation. A fund will be established for the purpose of executing these projects.
Electronic Media
Promoting better understanding of Islam to non-Muslims through various media projects is another primary objective. The RISEAP “Home-Page” will be expanded and kept continuously updated. Opportunities in sponsoring radio and television programmes in countries where such things are possible will be continuously examined.
Resource Centre
The existing reference library is a resource center serving the needs of its members. This is to complement the homepage and E-mail.
Funding
RISEAP will continue to directly sponsor or to source sponsors for Imam, Da’i and other Islamic workers, particularly in the countries with nascent Muslim communities. Priority will be on infrastructure projects such as mosques, Islam centers and schools where such buildings currently do not exist. Alternatively RISEAP will look for partners and associations to help in the project.
Networking
Another feature of RISEAP’s plan for the next few years will be “networking”. This involves having special arrangement for cooperation within the region which do not yet qualify for RISEAP membership and with specific organization outside RISEAP area.
