Islamic Course Closing Ceremony
Participant For Islamic Course Lvl 1 2011
A one-month Islamic Course which was started on the 3rd of October 2011, ended with a simple Closing Ceremony held at International Islamic University on 28 October 2011, all participants were presented a Certificate of Participation.
The Closing Ceremony began with the recitation of Al-Qur’an by Br Ainollutfi Mohd Nono from Sarawak followed by a commentary by Br Isa David Kerewa, a participant from PNG. In his brief speech, Br Mohd Shafiq Ong Abdullah, RISEAP Executive Secretary, thanked the participants for attending this course and also urged them to bring back the knowledge and experience gained from this course to share with their fellow Muslims in their respective community. Br Shafiq also stressed that as a minority, Muslims should be role model and respect the others.
After the presentation of certificate by Br Mohd Shafiq Ong, a participant from Sri Lanka, Br Mohamed Yoosoof Alimuddin, gave a few words of appreciation on behalf of the participants. He expressed his gratitude to RISEAP for inviting them to attend this very special course particularly to Hj Mohd Marzuki Mohd Omar, RISEAP Secretary General and all RISEAP staff for making this course a success. The ceremony concluded with a do’a by Ustaz Nik Syahriman Nik Mat.
