RISEAP Women Seminar Held in KL
Attendees For the Seminar
RISEAP organized a seminar on woman and family from 19-23 December 2011 at Grand Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, with a total of 33 participants including foreign representatives from RISEAP member organizations attended the seminar.
A 3-day seminar was to allow women to discuss various issues pertaining roles of women and family in shaping a stable and blissful family as prescribed by Islam. Women play a significant role in managing the family particularly the well-being and welfare of the children. Cheque Presented To HIKMAH
KUCHING, 28th October 2011 – Br. Marzuki Omar, the Secretary General of RISEAP on behalf of the organization, presented a cheque to HIKMAH Sarawak in conjunction with the coming of Eid al-Adha (festival of Sacrifice). It is an important religious calendar celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ismail as a total obedience to ALLAH command, before He intervened and provide Him with a ram instead.

The time has passed so fast and here we are again, at the end of Ramadhan and near the beginning of Syawal. The fasting month, a month of contemplation, redemption and full of holiness will soon come to an end. To all our friends, colleagues and acquaintances, to bloggers and lovely readers, twitters and facebookers, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

MUSLIMAH IN KHON KAEN, THAILAND
Khon Kaen is located in the Khorat Plateau, in the Central-Northwestern area of Isaan province. The city is well known as an important city in Thailand’s silk trade. In addition to the silk trade, Khon Kaen is also popular for the it’s services, educational, commercial and administrative sector. At the moment, this city only have two Mosques. Muslims gathered from various precincts, especially on Friday for prayers in these mosque. There are roughly 2,000 Muslims out of estimated 140,000 thousand people residing in Thailand.
