MUSLIMAH IN KHON KAEN, THAILAND

Khon Kaen is located in the Khorat Plateau, in the Central- area of province. The city is also known as an important city in Thailand’s silk trade. Aside from being know as the silk trade center of Thailand, Khon Kaen is also popular for it’s services, educational, commercial and administration.  In this city, there are only two Mosques, where Muslims gathered from various precinct, especially on Friday. There are about 2,000 Muslims from around 140,000 thousand people.

RISEAP Women Forum Held in Shah Alam, Selangor

Shah Alam, Selangor -  Regional Islamic Da’wah Council of Southeast and the Pacific () has conducted its annual women gathering on the 25th of December 2009 at Hotel UiTM, in Shah Alam, the capital city of Selangor, some 40 km away from Kuala Lumpur. Thirty participants from seven member countries are invited to attend this 4-days this year. The participants are from Brunei, Cambodia, , , , and Vietnam.

RISEAP conducts 12th International Muslimah Course

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia. RISEAP incorporation with International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) conducted 12th International Muslimah from 11 May 2009 – 05 June 2009 at the main campus of IIUM.

A total of 9 participants have participated in this course, namely from , Philippines, South , Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Those selected are being nominated by RISEAP member organization in their country.
