During a one- week official visit to , , the delegation led by , Hj Mohd Omar, were invited by officials to attend a talk on the Visions and Opportunities of Thai Education Towards the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), by ASEAN Secretary General, Dr , on 28 February 2012, at in ,.

During his 5-day visit to , recently, Secretary General, took the time to hold a meeting with representatives member organizations in namely Thai Muslim Student Association (TMSA) and Yamiatul , at the , Bangkok, on 29 February 2012.

, Hj Mohd Omar visited a renowned Islamic school in , Santichon Islamic School as a part of his schedule during his ’s trip, on 29 February 2012.
