RISEAP Islamic Course Started at IIUM

RISEAP in cooperation with International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) launched its Islamic Course (Level 2) on 21 February 2011 at IIUM in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, with a total of ten participants from seven countries invited from RISEAP member organizations in this region namely Cambodia, Fiji, Malaysia, PNG, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand attended a one-month course.

UiTM’s STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO CAMBODIA
Kota Samarahan, Kuching, 9 November 2010 - Honorable Secretary General of RISEAP, Tuan Haji Marzuki was given a simple yet warm reception at The Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism of MARA Technology University (UTM) Kuching. It was in conjunction with the field project of the university’s students. A group of 20 and 3 lecturers will be leaving for Tonle Sap, Cambodia mid-November 2010. The project leader, Mr.Nickson Ak Simbo in his welcoming remarks highlighted the trip’s objectives which are educational, social and charitable. First Imam Course for Cambodians and Vietnamese Ended
Kuala Lumpur 07 August,2009 – RISEAP has conducted its first Imam Training Course for its two member countries, Cambodia and Vietnam at International Islamic University Malaysia. The one-month course started from 13 July 2009 and ended 08 August 2009. A total of nine participants came for the course; four from Cambodia and five from Vietnam.
Participants from Cambodia were Br Sen Vahet Abdul Wahid, Br Ramlee Bin Yusof, Br Sem Krya and Br Mat Mosa. The other five from Vietnam were Br Hj Math Rosali, Br mahmud Kholic, Br Ahmad Atry and Br Mohamanh Amin.
The course was the brainchlid of RISEAP Secretary General, Tuan Hj Marzuki Omar, as a result of his recent visit to Vietnam. More >
RISEAP Conducts Imam Course – Islamic Funeral
Kuala Lumpur 05 August, 2009- The Imam course started on 13 July 2009 and will end on 07 August 2009. There were 9 participants selected to attend this session. They were from Vietnam and Camdodia. RISEAP observed that in most Asia and Pacific region where Muslims are minority, there are only a handful of those who can do the bathing of the deceased. In Islam, funeral requires simple and specific rites. The ritual involves bathing and shrouding the body, followed by salah (prayer).
