Islamic Course Closing Ceremony
A one-month Islamic course, held in association with International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), came to an end when all 16 participants from 7 countries gathered at a simple Closing Ceremony to mark the event on 13 April 2012 (Friday), at IIUM’s Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque.
It is a norm for RISEAP to hold a closing ceremony to mark the end of each course and to award the certificate of participation to all participants. RISEAP Islamic Course Held at IIUM
A latest series of RISEAP Islamic course started at International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) from 19 March 2012 to 15 April 2012, with a total of 16 participants from eight RISEAP member countries namely Cambodia, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand attended this one-month course.
RISEAP has been conducting several Islamic courses since 1999 with the aim to provide and inculcate Islamic understandings and its fundamental knowledge to members of Muslim minority from RISEAP member countries in Southeast Asian and the Pacific region.

RISEAP, IIUM Mosque to Promote Da’wah Activity
RISEAP and Sultan Hj Ahmad Shah Mosque officials held a meeting to discuss future cooperation and enhance ties between the two Islamic bodies particularly in areas of education and da’wah activities, on 16 February 2012, at Office of the Sultan Hj Ahmad Shah Mosque, International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).
The meeting which was chaired by Dr Habeeb Rahman Ibramsa, Director of IIUM mosque, discussed several issues pertaining da’wah activities and Muslim minority in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Region of which RISEAP has a total of 54 member organizations in 22 countries in the region. Japanese Muslims Help Earthqake Victims
Japan Muslim Association (JMA), a RISEAP member organization in Japan, in association with Japan Islamic Trust (Otsuka Mosque), dispatched a group of Muslim relief workers to provide necessary help to the victims of earthquake in Fukushima on 17 April 2011, The group led by Dr Ahmad Shiozaki Yuki, Secretary General of JMA, donated food to hundreds of the victims now being evacuated to various places including a high school in Iwaki City.

Convention on Awareness through Mosque Tour Launched at ILIM
Kuala Lumpur, 07 December 2010. Islamic Outreach ABIM in association with Discover Islam of Bahrain organized it’s first ever convention on Awareness through Mosque Tour from 6-11 December 2010 at Institute of Islamic Training Malaysia (ILIM), Selangor, Malaysia.
The 6-day convention’s objective was to discuss the effectiveness of da’wah activities via mosque tour and to explore opportunity of using the mosque as a place of inviting others to understand Islam, besides, to provide awareness to Muslims on the importance of mosque and how to convey simple but effective messages of Islam and good experiences to non-Muslims while visiting mosque.

RISEAP Launches Muslimah Course (Level Two)
KUALA LUMPUR – 23rd November 2010 - The first time ever follow-up course for Muslimah began on 23 November until 18 December 2010, at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Eight participants from eight RISEAP’s member countries attended the one-month course. The purpose of the course is to “upgrade” the knowledge ex-participants and to keep them abreast with the new development of dakwah.

RISEAP’S 26th Executive Committee Meeting 2010 – at FIJI
Natadola, Fiji, 18th October 2010 - The Prime Minister of Fiji, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama was the guest of Honour of the Presidential Dinner of the 26th Executive Committee Meeting of Regional Islamic Da’Wah Council of South East Asia and the Pacific (RISEAP) held at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf and Spa, Natadola, Fiji on Monday night,18th October 2010.
