Organization Brief
The main decision making bodies of RISEAP are the General Assembly and Executive Committee.
The General Assembly, which consists of the representative of all Muslim organizations in RISEAP, is held every two years. So far there have been ten General Assemblies since the first was held in June 1982 in Kuala Lumpur. Other venues have been Kuching, Singapore, Sydney, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
At the 1980 inaugural conference, Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj (Prime Minister of Malaysia 1957-1970) was unanimously elected as RISEAP’s first President.
