Japanese Muslims Help Earthqake Victims

Muslim Association (JMA), a member organization in , in association with Islamic Trust (Otsuka Mosque), dispatched a group of Muslim relief workers to provide necessary help to the victims of earthquake in Fukushima on 17 April 2011, The group led by Dr Ahmad Shiozaki Yuki, of JMA, donated  to hundreds of the victims now being  evacuated to various places including a high school in Iwaki City.

Dr Hj Abdul Taib Mahmud Islamic Centre in Jeju, Korea Attracts Malaysian Tourists

A group of 25 tourists from ,  Sarawak , paid a courtesy visit  to an Islamic centre in Jeju island on 2 April 2010, upon their arrival at the Centre, which is known as Dr Hj Islamic Centre, they were welcomed by Prof Hj Bashir , who is the manager of the Centre and also the RISEAP Vice President for Northern Zone.

Imam Ilyas Manu of Tonga made a courtesy visit to on 14 February 2011 with the aim to strengthen ties and enhance cooperation between Tonga Muslim Relations and , this visit is the first time since he left in 1996 during which he attended the very first Imam Course held at , along with three other participants from Solomon Island, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. He  also attended General Assembly held in Kuala Lumpur as a representative from Tonga.

One of the most special moments during a trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah between  22-26 December 2010 was not only to enjoy Sabah exotic sea , wonderful scenery  or have a cup of nice Sabah tea but the unplanned meeting with several of USIA staff who were familiar to us, ex-participants of RISEAP training programmes some years ago.

RISEAP delegation made a courtesy call to USIA Secretary General, Datuk Hj Arshad Hj Idris and his staff on 23 December 2010. Upon arrival at USIA office, located on Jalan Sembulan, we were welcomed by Secretary General and his staff. Kota Kinabalu, Sabah – It is a very special event for RISEAP staff to have an opportunity to visit Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, almost 3-hour fly from Kuala Lumpur, especially when it made a courtesy call to its only member organization in the state, the (USIA) on 23 December 2010. Convention on Awareness through Mosque Tour Launched at ILIM

, 07 December 2010. Islamic Outreach ABIM in association with Discover of Bahrain organized it’s first ever convention on Awareness through Tour from 6-11 December 2010 at Institute of (ILIM), Selangor, .

The 6-day convention’s objective was to discuss the effectiveness of da’wah activities via mosque tour and to explore opportunity of using the mosque as a place of inviting others to understand Islam, besides, to provide awareness to on the importance of mosque and how to convey simple but effective messages of Islam and good experiences to non- while visiting mosque.

PERKIM Celebrates Golden Jubilee

Pertubuhan Kebajikan , populary known as in Malaysia celebrated its 50th anniversary on 6 November 2010 at the Federal in . PERKIM was founded by Malaysian first Prime , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj in 1960 with the aim to promote Islam and provide help to the needy Muslims.
