Dr Hj Abdul Taib Mahmud Islamic Centre in Jeju, Korea Attracts Malaysian Tourists
A group of 25 tourists from Kuching, Sarawak , Malaysia paid a courtesy visit to an Islamic centre in Jeju island on 2 April 2010, upon their arrival at the Centre, which is known as Dr Hj Abdul Taib Mahmud Islamic Centre, they were welcomed by Prof Hj Bashir Kim Dae Yong, who is the manager of the Centre and also the RISEAP Vice President for Northern Zone.
The group from the Daya Builders Sdn Bhd, led by Hj Iskandar Nor, spent few days in Jeju island as a part of their visit to South Korea. IMAM ILYAS MANU
Imam Ilyas Manu of Tonga made a courtesy visit to RISEAP on 14 February 2011 with the aim to strengthen ties and enhance cooperation between Tonga Muslim Relations and RISEAP, this visit is the first time since he left RISEAP in 1996 during which he attended the very first Imam Course held at RISEAP, along with three other participants from Solomon Island, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. He also attended RISEAP General Assembly held in Kuala Lumpur as a representative from Tonga.

PERKIM Celebrates Golden Jubilee
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia, populary known as PERKIM in Malaysia celebrated its 50th anniversary on 6 November 2010 at the Federal Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. PERKIM was founded by Malaysian first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj in 1960 with the aim to promote Islam and provide help to the needy Muslims. One of its main functions is to conduct da’wah work among non-Muslims in Malaysia.
The opening ceremony of this grand event was officiated by Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but due to his illness, he was represented by Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, Minister at Prime Minister Office. (more…)

Kuching, Sarawak – The Minister of Defence, the Honourable Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, officially completed the opening ceremony for The Sarawak State Rejimen Askar Wataniah in conjunction with the Career Expo, Education and Innovation Ministry of Defence here at Perpaduan Indoor Stadium, Petra Jaya, Kuching.
