Prof Datuk Dr Zaleha Kamaruddin has been appointed as a new Rector of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) on 10 August 2011, to replace Prof Dato’ Sri Dr Syed Arabi Idid, whose term as rector expired on June 1, he held the post since 2006.
